Privacy Policy
ShowHero helps you list items for live shows and print labels as they sell. To do that we keep some information about you and your items. This page says what we keep, why, who helps us, and how long it stays.
ShowHero is run by Live Show Hero, in Adelaide, South Australia ("we", "us"). We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we keep

Buyers in your shows
When something sells in your Whatnot show, the ShowHero Printer reads the buyer's username, the item and the price so it can print the label. That stays on your computer. It isn't sent to us, except as below.
The Printer keeps a show log on your computer for 2 days, so a missed label can be traced. It's only sent to us if you tick it when you report a problem. We then keep it for 30 days.
Who helps us
These companies run parts of ShowHero for us. They only use your information to provide their service to us.

When AI is used, the photo and the details needed are sent to Google's Gemini service to write the item up. We use Google's paid service, under which Google doesn't use what we send to improve its products.
When you copy a listing from eBay, ShowHero reads that public eBay page and its photos.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Cookies
ShowHero uses one cookie, to keep you signed in. It can't be read by other websites. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Keeping it safe
Everything travels over encrypted connections. Each seller can only reach their own work, and the database refuses every other request. Passwords are scrambled, sign-in attempts are limited, and only ShowHero's own server holds the keys to the database.
No system is perfect. If something ever went wrong that put your information at risk, we'd tell you and the Australian privacy regulator as the law requires.
Information sent overseas
Our helpers above store and process information outside Australia, mostly in the United States. We choose services with strong security, and we only send what each one needs.
Your choices
- See or fix your details: Settings, Account. Or ask us for a copy of what we hold.
- Delete everything: Settings, Account, Delete my account. Your account, items, photos and settings are deleted, and any subscription is cancelled.
- Remove a computer from the Printer: sign the Printer out, or ask us.
Children
ShowHero is for sellers aged 18 and over. Accounts aren't meant for children.
Questions or complaints
Use Report a problem in ShowHero, or reply to any email from us. We'll answer within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in ShowHero first.
