Sell your second-hand finds with far less fuss.
ShowHero is for people who sell in live shows. Today that means Whatnot, the app where people buy and sell on live video.
Take a photo of a few things and it writes each one up for you. When something sells in your live show, its postage label prints straight away, with a number that matches the item.

How it works
Three steps for every item, from your shelf to its next owner.
-
1Take one photo
Line up a few things, each with its numbered tag, and take one picture.
-
2Each one is written up
A name, a description and a starting price for each. You check them, change anything, and send them to Whatnot.
-
3It sells, the label prints
The moment it sells in your live show, its label prints with the tag number and who bought it.
What you'll need
Nothing special. Most sellers already have all of it.
- A Whatnot seller accountFree to set up on whatnot.com.
- A phone with a cameraFor taking the photos.
- A computerWith Chrome, Edge or Firefox, to check your items and print labels.
- A label printerOptional. A Dymo LabelWriter (with Dymo's free DYMO Connect software) or a Zebra (with Zebra's free Browser Print) prints with no clicks. Any other printer works after a one-time setup.
Questions

What is Whatnot?
Whatnot is an app and website where people buy and sell things on live video, a bit like a shopping channel run by everyday sellers. ShowHero gets your things ready to sell there and prints the labels when they sell.
Do I need to be good with computers?
No. If you can take a photo on your phone and type a few words, you can use it. Everything it writes is shown to you first, and you can change any of it.
Does it put my items on Whatnot for me?
Almost. It makes one file with all your items in it. You upload that file to Whatnot once, and every item appears in your shop. Nothing goes on sale until you choose to.
Do I have to type a bag number for every item?
No. Write each item's number on its bag, or on a card or sticker next to it, and take the photo with the numbers showing. Leave the bag numbers box empty and ShowHero reads them for you. If a number can't be read clearly, the item gets the next free number and is marked for you to check, so nothing ends up on the wrong bag without you knowing.
Can I change what's on the label?
Yes, all of it. In Settings, under Labels, pick the size of your labels (any size), how big the bag number is and what it says above it, and which details print: the buyer, the item, the price, the time, your shop name and your own message. Move them into the order you like and see it change as you go. It saves to your account, so every computer you print from uses the same label.
Which label printers work?
Dymo LabelWriter (we use the 4XL): prints the moment something sells, no clicks. It needs Dymo's free DYMO Connect software on your computer; it runs quietly in the background. Zebra: the same, with Zebra's free Browser Print software. Any other printer (Rollo, Munbyn, Brother, an office printer): works too. The ShowHero Printer walks you through a one-time setup so labels print without asking; until then you press Print for each one.
Is it free?
Yes, for approved sellers while we test it. When testing ends, Printer will be $15 a month and Lister $30 a month, and we'll tell you well before anything is charged. Nobody is charged without adding a card themselves.
How do I get in?
Create your account. While we test, we review each new account and switch on the sellers we're working with. You'll see "You're on the list" until yours is switched on. Want to tell us why ShowHero would suit you? Say so on the Updates page.
Can I change plans later?
Once Lister opens, yes, in Settings, under Account. Moving up to Lister unlocks listing straight away, and you pay the difference for the rest of that month. Moving down to Printer takes the unused part off your next bill.
Do you work with eBay Live, TikTok Shop or Poshmark?
Not yet. ShowHero works with Whatnot today. Tell us where you sell when you sign up, and we'll build the most-asked-for next.
What happens to my photos?
They're deleted 48 hours after you take them. You can delete your whole account, and everything in it, from Settings at any time.
Do I need to sell on eBay too?
No. Copying from eBay is there if you already sell there. You don't need an eBay or Whatnot developer account for anything.
Can someone help me with it?
Yes. Your account can print labels on two computers, so a helper can pack while you sell. Ask us if you need more.
Coming soon: the next level
For card sellers. Not in the plans yet; we'll let you know when it's ready.
